Remembrance Day


Today is Remembrance Day. Post answers to the following questions and get some TBs.

1. What do we remember on this day?
2. Why is Remembrance day on 11th November every year?

4. Why is it especially important this year that we remember those who fought in World War One?

    2. Rememberance day is on the 11th off November every year because Germany signed a peace treaty to end the war on this date.
    3.It is sometimes known as Armistice Day because the treaty that was signed for peace was called The Armistice.
    4.It is especially important this year because there were only 3 british soldiers who survived and the last one died this year.

    We would remember all the people that has fought in the world war. It ended on the 11/11/1935 and the 11th hour. I want people to know all the people who fought in the world war were very brave.

  8. A Melbourne journalist called Edward Honey suggested in the London Evening News that a mark of respect should be shown for fallen soldiers.
    King George V said on 7th November 1919 a two minute silence should be observed. On the 11th November at 11.00pm 1919 Australia observed a two minute silence for the first time.
    Amistice Day is the day when the first World War ended after 4 years, four months and 14 days
    after an agreement to stop fighting between the Germans and Allies.
    This year the last soldier from the First World War died.
