'oy' sounds

In phonics we have been studying the 'oy' sound. Try to write a short story using as many 'oy' sound words as you can. Remember the 'oy' sound can be made in a couple of ways and try to use them both as many times as you can. This week's word list and the story below will help you.
Post your story as a comment.

Royston the Noisy Snake
Royston was, by all accounts, a very noisy snake. His friends would say, ‘The idea of being a snake is so you can hoist yourself up into a tree and silently coil yourself round a branch and then drop down on your prey without them even knowing you are there.’ Alas poor Royston couldn’t stay quiet for long enough to do this.

One day his friends took him aside and explained he had choices to make. Either he was going to be the annoying, poisonous, noiseless, destroyer that he was meant to be or they would employ sterner measures to get him to conform.

Needless to say sterner measures could not be avoided. Royston’s friends sent him on a voyage of discovery. His most loyal friend, Lloyd went with him and introduced him to the android on the hill, who, happened to have an ointment for noisiness. A couple of applications later Royston was less noisy and actually started to enjoy slithering around, silently creeping and coiling up on his prey as a snake should do.

  1. The boy had a toy alloy car. He was the noisiest, annoying little boy. Troy was his name and he picked his boil while playing in the soil, but what a joy that Troy had when he enjoyed destroying his toys. He was disloyal and poisoness and made choices the no one liked, but Troy always annoyed and was coy and always had a ploy.

  5. Once there was a boy called Roy. Roy was a very rich boy, he had a really big house but not big enough for all his toys. Roy was very proud of himself and wasn't very nice to a boy in his class called Lloyd. Lloyd didn't have very much money and only a few toys. One night Roy got robbed."No" he cried. "All my toys!"
    "All my jewels," screamed mum,
"And all our money," said dad nearly fainting. He went to school and didn't tease Lloyd again. Lloyd seen how upset Roy was and shared his toys with Roy. And then they were best buddies forever more.
    Right up till now.

  8. Once there was a boy who annoyed everyone in his family. They all were very mad at him because he was so annoying. He wasn't so loyal either, he would hoist himself in to a tree were all the bugs lived. All his family tried to avoid him but he followed them everywhere, he was like a stalker. He was at the noisiest point of the day when in the tree. He would jump to the ground with a bang and flash, his family thought he was an astroid. He thought this was enjoyable however his family thought it was annoying. His annoying behaviour, took it's toil on his family that they wished he was as astroid in space until one day this wish was granted to them and he was destroyed in space.
