Weather Report


In World Around Us we will be comparing our weather with three different regions of the world. We will study the impact the weather has on our lives and the impact it has on the living things in rainforests, deserts and polar regions. Use the following weather links to research the weather conditions Here, in Manaus in the Brazilian Rainforest, Dakhla in the western Sahara Desert and Qaanaaq in the Arctic Circle.




Post a short weather report for each location. Your report should say if there is sunshine, rain or snow and also include maximum and minimum temperature and wind speed and direction.

Haiti


Mr King visited school last week and spoke to us about the earthquake in Haiti. We enjoyed dressing in the colours of the Haitian flag and raising money to help. Many people around the world have been helping. Have a look at the link below and find out how a seven-year-old boy raised more than £190,000 for victims of the earthquake .
