In phonics this week we have been studying the 'ay' sound.
This sound can be made in a number of ways - 'ay', 'ai', 'a_e', 'a' and 'ae'.
Write a short story or paragraph using as many 'ay' sound words as you can.

One Monday during the school holidays my dad said,"Lets go to Gosford Park estate for a day out." We decided to take our bicycles so we needed to put the trailer on the car. When we arrived there was a long queue and this delayed us getting in.At the enterence there was a display giving us information about events and safety warings. In the park we met our neighbour Lilly and her surname was Smith she had apron on because she was cooking on a barbeque. She also complained that there was not enough picnic tables we got on our bikes and our aim was to do the five mile circuit.Immediately after we sat down and had a cup of tea and buns.

ReplyDeleteOnce upon a time lived a man called safety pete . One day he went out to see the neighbour .He said,"Can you tell me your surname please?" "Why do you want me to tell you my surname." She said. I want to no it so I can raise money for you. So she didnt complain. He had to delay his interview on Monday because she wanted to talk to him about this."I am going on holiday tomorrow so you better get the money immediate" she shouted. Mr safety thought very hard about this. He put on his apron and made the dinner. Tomorrow came he didnt even have a penny. He went and told the neighbour. "what you didnt obey me"She yelled at him. I am sorry I could not get the money" said safety man. She took off her apron and took one aim at him with the frying pan. BANG! right on the head. THE END
ReplyDeleteOnce upon a time in a small estate there lived the cleverest person in the world. The exciting thing was that he was my next door neighbour! His name was Tom and his surname was Smart. Tom's favourite food was raisins on a piece of stale bread. He drove a big fancy Jeep with a trailer attached. Every morning he would drive to the train station and get the train to his work. Tom was a computer expert and would only aim for the best. As soon as he entered his office lots of Tom's workers would say, "Good morning Mr Smart. Do you have any information on the latest computer software?" His immediate response would always be, "Of course." I'm sure you can tell that Mr Smart was a very successful person. I hope that someday I will maybe be as clever as Tom Smart.
ReplyDeleteOne day I was walking down the pavement and I saw a trailer at the station. Then I seen my neighbour standing with an apron on, in the middle of the estate, eating a raisin with a safety hat on. Maybe it was all a dream as I just had an operation yesterday.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in Poland for my holidays I got some crayons. I got them from my neighbour called Mr May who was disabled. Mr May had to delay his flight to Spain because of the amount he had to pay and because he didn't have much money either. Mr May gived me a tray of his crayons because I was his best friend. He gived me some money too. So we went to the subway. But when I was about to pay I suddenly stopped,I suddenly saw Mr May and his old friends sitting at the table they always sit like that so I thought that I could be able to give my money to the disabled and no remainder and I did it and the money went to the disabled. Then the rain fell down and we played the game called the desert ambush and the disabled where happy with me.
ReplyDeleteOne Monday morning a little girl called May was walking on the pavement to go home. When she was home she put on her apron then her mother came in and said,"Straighten that apron,"so she obeyed her mother. When she was baking the cake she saw that there was no raisins,so May asked her neighbour who's surname is Saint.

ReplyDeleteWhen i was in p5 we had to put up a display and we all put our surname on it and then one of us began to complain. We all stood on the pavement to look at it, then we becidsed not to delay any longer and put it on the wall on Monday then after school I went to the station to go to belfast. i hope u in joy it. byebye xoxo
I was at a display on Monday. My neighbour came with me and we decided to travel by rail. We went to the station but the train was delayed and all my neighbour could do was to complain. He kept saying, "we are going to be so late, we are going to be so late." I think he maybe needed an operation because he didn't hush. We were going to be very late so we left the station and stood on the pavement. Immediately a man in a trailer who was on holiday pulled up and asked us for information on how to find Peatland's Park estate. This is where the fire works display was going to be so he immediately gave us a lift and we gave him directions .
ReplyDeleteour summer holiday this year was to Ibiza, our flight was on a Monday and unfortunately we had a two hour delay. On the flight the air hostess went through the safety rules, then put on their aprons to serve food and drinks, I didn't like the apple and raisin muffin we had for pudding.
