In phonics this week we have been studying the 'er' sound. Write a short story using as many 'er' sound words as you can. Remember the 'er' sound can be made in a number of ways. Try to use as many of these ways as you can in your story. This week's word list and scaffold text will help you.

On Saturday night I went to a modern fancy dress party by the harbour.I brought my camera and took a photograph of a stranger in a shiny suit of armour.Later he told me he was an actor. I bought him a litre of coke with my dollar because he said he was dying of thirst.This was the perfect end to the party.
